RMS Mauretania Bronze Nameplate Letter 'M' the letter was originally sold in 1935 at an auction by Hampton & Sons, St James. The Port and Stern nameplates were sold complete but the Starboard letters were sold individually, this 'M' was bought by a Reading Seed Merchant (Mr Martin Sutton) and was subsequently sold by the family to the current vendor 24", 62cm high sold together with a copy of 'The Cunard Turbine Drive Quadruple Screw Atlantic Liner Mauretania' 1907, a coloured photograph and cuttings relating to the original auction
