A British 1885 Pattern Cavalry Trooper's Sword, the 87cm single edge broad fullered plated steel blade stamped at the ricasso with broad arrow over WD, M, various inspector's marks, bend mark, issue dates for (18)87 and (18)92, and maker's mark WEYERSBURG, KIRSCHBAUM & CIE, SOLINGEN, the steel bowl hilt bearing traces of silver plating, pierced with a Maltese cross and stamped 41893/Y/YH/155 and various other struck through numbers, the underside with War Department arrow, with chequered black leather grip scales and buff hide sword knot, the steel scabbard with two fixed suspender rings, stamped at the locket MOLE PATENT and 1893/Y/YH/173, 106cm

Some lifting and pitting to the silver plate at the back edges and tip of the blade which is quite clean and bright. Grey Patching to the hilt and scabbard, no dents.
