A George III Silver Fruit Basket, John Wakelin & William Taylor, London 1789, the upper oval basket with pierced sides and border, the centre of each side applied with a ribbon mounted cartouche engraved with a crest, being a cockatrice ducally gorged with a baron's coronet above, with twin rams' head drop ring handles, raised on four acanthus feet, with blue glass liner, the conforming stand engraved with a coat of arms and motto, the base 30cm wide, 44oz 8dwt all in

The arms are believed to be those of Hugh Edward Henry Clifford, 5th Baron Clifford of Chudleigh.
