Antlers/Horns: Assam Water Buffalo (Bubalus arnee), circa 1852, Assam Northern India, a very large set of adult bull horns on upper skull, right horn 162.5cm (64"), left horn 164cm (64½"), widest span 166cm (65½"), tip to tip 108cm (42½"), painted number to forehead K, 11-6½, 3, entry reference within the game book notes - no 3. Assam Buffalo Cow Shot by my uncle Major Robert Campbell and sent home at the same time as Nos 1&2". Recorded as No 4 in the Rowland Ward Records of Big Game dated 1896, hand written note to page 267 by Sir John Campbell - "These two were shot by my uncle Col Robert Campbell but are in the possession of Sir John Campbell of Kilberry to whose father they were given by my father. When i sent the measurement to Rowland Ward i told him this, but he has nonetheless entered them wrongly as belonging to me, dated 1896"
