Late Queen Victoria group of mint multiples, with 1880 1d Venetian red unmounted block of six, 1887 3d and 4d 'jubilee' blocks of six and 1900 1/- green and carmine block of four. Crease on one 1/- stamp and some very minor faults. Catalogue over £950 as singles.

Highlights include a specialised collection of St. Helena stamps and postal history, and a very extensive and impressive holding of Russian postal history with a particular focus on the Post Offices Abroad. The latter collector’s interests also extended through the Baltics to excellent Scandinavian Locals, as well as around the Eastern Mediterranean from the Balkans to Palestine and Egypt.
Amongst the postcards offered in the sale are fantastic albums from a dedicated collector, of high-quality and comprehensively assembled, which include transport related cards of Leeds, Skipton, Lancaster, Teesside and Middlesbrough as well as excellent general Yorkshire cards.
