♦Henry III, (1216-1272), 3 x Silver Pennies comprising: (1) London Mint, long cross, moneyer Davi, obv. hENRICVS REX III around bust, no sceptre, mm star, faint necklines, rev. DAVI ON LVNDEN around voided long cross with three pellets in each quarter, full, well struck flan VF, (2) Canterbury Mint, long cross, moneyer Alein; obv. hENRICVS REX III around bust with sceptre, pointed face with beard a double row of pellets, neck indicated by two lines, oval eyes, rev. ALEIN ON CANT around voided long cross with three pellets in each quarter, well struck with good detail AVF/VF, (3) long cross, uncertain mint & moneyer, obv. h(ENRI)CVS REX III, round bust without sceptre, beard three pellets each side of a larger central pellet, rev struck off-centre AFine.
