The Queen Victoria section of a collection, on album pages with two penny blacks, lots of penny reds incl. a few nice cds examples to pl.224, pl.217 block of eight, pl.208 mint, attractive pl.225, 1½d plate 3 superb cds, 1883/84 high values mint (imperfections) and used, jubilee set mint, 1891 £1 green cds on piece, etc.

Highlights of the October 30th Stamp Sale include a very extensive collection of Switzerland assembled over a lifetime by a former President of the Helvetia Society of Great Britain with focus on postal history beautifully written-up on album pages; a specialised collection of Ceylon with many of the key stamps including an excellent range of classics plus King George V key-plate high values, plus from the same estate a group of the Indian State of Jammu & Kashmir including a complete presentation album sent out in 1899 on behalf of the Maharajah. Also an extremely interesting large folio presentation volume of 19th Turkish revenue proof sets with ornate binding suggesting a possibly unique production for the Ottoman royal family.
