. In original condition. Relatively light stretcher shadow. Most prominent across top and right and left side. Covered in a thick layer of dirt and discoloured varnish. Broadly spaced stable craquelure throughout surface. Some minor rubbing to edges. There is the odd small nick/loss along lower edge and a minor horizontal abrasion approx 4 cm in length and 10 cm right of lower left hand corner. Paint is more thinly applied within lower right hand corner. Otherwise in a broadly fair/good state of preservation. Not examined with a UV light.

Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
