A Third Quarter 19th Century Lace Fan, the monture of bone, carved, and pierced, fitted from behind with slivers of mother of pearl behind a carved lattice latticed. The leaf, of Brussels Bobbin Appliqué, backed with turquoise silk, giving a light an airy appearance. The design features a regular border within which a central floral spray is complemented by smaller sprays to each reserve. Verso outer layer of cream silk. A shaped and embossed gold metal loop is finished with a pale turquoise silk tassel worked with gold metal thread. Guard length 10.5 inches or 26.5cm, the lace border protruding another 0.5 inch

. Good. The bone would benefit from cleaning, Some very very slight brown marks seen on the cream backing layer and one very pale to the left on the recto.
