A Late 19th Century Pink Mother-of-Pearl Fan, mounted with a lace leaf of Brussels Bobbin...

A Late 19th Century Pink Mother-of-Pearl Fan, mounted with a lace leaf of Brussels Bobbin Appliqué, featuring many different flower variations and leaves. Contained in a good card fan box covered in ruby silk satin, paper label inside the lid for Duvelleroy London. Guard length 11 inches or 28cm. Together with a small 1920's white gauze fan mounted on bone, and a large bone fan c.1890's, the monture lightly carved and pierced, the leaf a pale pink silk satin with a top and side border of cream machine lace. Topped with white marabou. The verso, in paler pink matt silk, is plain. Guard length 13.5 inches or 35cm (2)

. Both guards on the lace fan have crude repairs, glue showing. The leaf has a fair amount of light brown discoloration. The box is in excellent order and too long for this fan, too short for the feather-edged fan. Second fan has one stick temporarily secured in the wrong spot. Fan 3 is missing the tip of the lower guard, has some light staining to the verso, and the marabou is thinning.
