Four Lace Fans and a Fan Monture, late 19th to early 20th century: Comprising a large late 19th century bone fan, the monture lightly carved and pierced, the Brussels bobbin lace leaf with an overall design of flowers and leaves. Guard length 13.75 inches or 35cm; a similar lace leaf mounted on bone, 1920's, the gorge sticks serpentine. Contained in a card fan box, the exterior in beige and printed in pink blue and gold in a floral/lattice design. Guard length 7.5 inches or 19cm; an early 20th century Belgian tapelace fan in a floral design, mounted on bone. Guard length 8.5 inches or 21.5cm; a dainty pink mother of pearl fan of fontange form, the lace leaf of Brussels bobbin appliqué designed with flowers and leaves. Overall height 7.5 inches or 19cm; and an attractively shaped bone monture consisting of two carved and pierced guards and seventeen sticks with continuous ribs. Guard length 10.5/8 inches or 27cm (5)

. First fan, a break to a gorge stick where the rib joins the shoulder; fan 2, nothing noted; fan 3 has several repairs to gorge sticks down at the head; fan 4 has a very dirty leaf that appears sound, but eight of the sixteen bone ribs are broken. The monture has a repair to one guard and signs of having has a paper leaf.
