Together with a folding ivory parasol, recovered with modern cream fabric, the lower shaft section deeply carved with entwined flowers and leaves. Overall length 24 inches or 61cm; a third 19th century folding parasol, covered in black lace, probably machine, the strong design featuring regular columns and large leaves. Lined in green silk. The ivory finial and lower shaft are lightly carved. Overall height 23.5 inches or 59.5cm (3)

Sold for £150
Estimated at £90 - £120

. The Brussels parasol has been reassembled with a modern lining, during which the lace cover has been re-secured inside out. There are several small holes in the net ground. A crack is evident half way up the bone shaft section, notwithstanding this it appears serviceable. The second parasol was purchased for the carving.
