L.T. Piver: Advertising ''Gerbera'', one of the rarer Piver scents for collectors of bottles, soaps

L.T. Piver: Advertising "Gerbera", one of the rarer Piver scents for collectors of bottles, soaps etc (although the fan is not uncommon), this printed paper advertising fan in fontange form shows Harlequin, Pierrot and Columbine. Printed by Macquet, artist signature Guy Arnoux (1881 - 1948). The verso is printed with theatre masks and roses, green on cream. Overall height 10.25 inches or226cm. Together with L.T.Piver "Pompeia", a folding printed paper advertising fan mounted on dark green stained wood sticks, featuring robed ladies in a classical garden, the perfume name showing on a large stone urn to the left. By Macquet, the artist being Gustave. L. Jaulmes (1879 - 1959). "Pompeia" was launched in 1907. Guard length 8.5 inches or 22cm (2)

The research by Evelyn Malpas does not list the Piver fan with the scent "Gerbera". The fan design does however appear in 1922 and 1924

. Gerbera: Quite worn. Most folds rubbed and some split at the top with one slight fragment of paper lacking to the right. Pompeia, some wear to the folds but generally sound.
