. Stretcher shadow especially prominent along top edge. Rectangular upright patch repair to reverse upper left hand corner approx 1 cm by 15 cm (images can be supplied upon request). Small nick to surface slightly above and left of ladies head no more than 0.5 cm across. Surface dirt and discoloured varnish. Varying sized stable craquelure throughout. Small patch of more pronounced crazing amongst table support. There is an amount of fairly consistent retouching throughout the ladies skirt, a further patch/patches at her right shoulder, a minimal amount above her left hand at bust height and a further reasonably small amount of retouching within her hair. The gentleman has two small patches of retouching within his hair approx centre and right. Some of the shadowing and lines of the interior on the right hand side appear to have been strengthened. Upon inspection out of frame (please see images) general rubbing to edges as expected. The work has seemingly been relined or strengthened/laid down onto a new canvas in line with the stretcher.
