A Coalport Porcelain Dessert Service, circa 1800, painted in the Imari palette with an urn in a garden within a foliate, lattice, scroll and scale panelled border, comprising a pair of fruit coolers and covers (30.5cm high), a shaped rectangular bowl on four scroll feet (26cm wide), four oval dishes (29cm wide), four square dishes (20cm wide), four shell dishes (23.5cm diameter), sixteen plates (21.5cm diameter), and twenty-two circular dishes (21cm) (55) (only part illustrated)

Both fruit coolers lacking liners, one with some wear to gilding on extremities, the other with minor wear to extremities. Rectangular bowl with extensive wear to gilt on rim. Oval dishes all with some stacking wear to centre and extensive wear to gilt on rim, one with 2cm rim chip and associated 6cm crack, another with two 5mm rim chips. Square dishes all with extensive wear to centre panel and rim, one with large 2x0.5cm chip and two associated hairline cracks 6cm and 3.5cm long, another with 1cm rim chip. Shell dishes all with extensive wear to gilding in centre panel and on rim, some stacking wear to borders, three with small flat rim chips each 0.5cm to 1cm. Plates all extensively worn, five with extensive star cracks, four broken and riveted, one with 1x1cm rim chip. Circular dishes good condition, minor stacking wear to gilt around central panel, one with extensive wear to rim, one with chip to foot rim. 140610
