Hotel Negreso, Nice: A Good Advertising Fan for the hotel built in 1913 on the Promenades des Anglais, listed in 2003 as a French Historic Building. Double paper leaf mounted on simple light wood sticks; the recto is printed with a gathering of maidens in a clearing. The verso, with classic drawing, and tokens of love, is marked "Compliments Hotel Negreso, Nice". Printed by Maquet Gr. 16 Av. Masséna Nice & Rue de la Paix Paris. Guard length 8.5 inches or 21.5cm. Together with two smaller advertising fans, the first for "La Rotonde Restaurant Tea Room 36 bis Boulevard Haussmann & 2, Rue Lafayette". Double paper leaf, simple wood sticks, the guards slightly shaped and varnished, the recto printed with a couple seated, reading, the reserves with gold swags and tokens of love. Guard length 7.5 inches or 19cm. The final fan, similar, advertises the Casino Municipal at Engien on the verso, the recto in shades of blue and gold, showing a lady and her dog, having gathered flowers, receiving the attentions of a beau. Guard length 7.25 inches or 18.5cm (3)
