♦A Collection of UK Commemorative Coins comprising: Commonwealth Games 2002, a set of 4 x proof £2 coins with reverses depicting a moving figure of an athlete holding a banner & each with a cameo featuring the different flags of the four UK teams, with certificate of authenticity, in a Royal Mint display case FDC; ‘The European Community Coin Collection’ a set of 12 coins dated 1990-1992, one from each of the then 12 member states of the EU (including a UK £1), sealed in a presentation pack, all BU; 5 x ‘UK Commemorative £5 Coins’ comprising: 2000 ‘Queen Mother Centenary,’ 2 x 2000 ‘New Millennium,’ 2008 ‘Prince of Wales 60th Birthday’ & 2008 ‘450th Anniversary of the Accession of Queen Elizabeth I,’ individually encapsulated in Royal Mint presentation packs, ‘The First UK Bi-Colour Coin’ a set containing the four production stages required to produce a £2 trial piece viz the outer blank, the inner blank, outer blank with raised edge & lettering & the complete trial piece, in a Royal Mint presentation pack, ‘The Coinage of Ancient Britain’ a silver unit of the Iceni tribe, in a presentation pack; lot also includes 4 x sets of Elizabeth II pre-decimal coins comprising: (1) halfcrowns 1953 to 1960, (2) halfcrowns 1961 to 1967, (3) sixpences 1953 to 1967 & halfpennies 1953-1967, each set card-mounted in a Sandhill case, all from circulation, generally Fine or+ & an 8-coin year set 1967: halfcrown, florin, 2 x shillings English & Scottish revs (both dated 1966), sixpence, brass threepence, penny & halfpenny, in a Barclays Bank leatherette wallet UNC (penny with verdigris stains).
