A Victorian Papier-Mâché Oval Tray, mid 19th century, decorated with summer flowers within a gilded border, the verso stamped Benham & Sons, 19 Wigmore Street, London, 61cm by 49cm, on a later tubular brass stand, 49cm high; A 20th Century Tubular Brass Folding Paper/Magazine Stand, with three pivoting tiers, the uprights surmounted by scrolled finials and terminating in pad feet, 33cm wide, 77cm high (2)

The tray has numerous chips around the circumference. With some pieces re-glued to the rim. Craquelure to the lacquer. There is some wear to the gilded border. There are two over-painted patches to the main tray, either side of the bouquet. The stand to the tray has some surface pitting, otherwise in good order. The central folding leaf is missing one screw. Otherwise, all folding mechanisms are good. There is substantial wear to the gilding throughout. From the foot to the top of the scroll the stand is 87cm, the front two feet are 35cm wide from each other. Front to back at the widest point the stand is 68cm.
