An Early 19th Century India Pattern Flintlock Brown Bess Musket, the 97cm steel barrel stamped with Ordnance marks and numbered 97495, the lock plate engraved TOWER, with crowned GR cypher, crowned arrow head, the walnut stock with brass fore-end tip, ramrod pipes and trigger guard, the shouldered butt with brass butt plate, steel sling swivels, leather sling, steel ramrod and socket bayonet, stamped 'WK'

The barrel is heavily pitted near the breech. the foresight is repaired. The rounded lock plate has minor pitting. The action works. The brass side plate is stamped DB, it has a number of knocks (dents) The stock has a chip missing behind the barrel tang. There is a sliver of wood missing to the right side barrel edge above the middle ramrod pipe. There is a repaired split above the end ramrod pipe. The stock is stamped W.MARWOOD underneath the ramrod
