Pallas/Athena helmeted bust right, rev. Nike walking right holding wreath and palm (MIG Type 242-3; Boperachchi 31-2); Indo-Scythians, Kanishka (1ct century AD) AE tetradrachm (25mm, 16.44g) obv. Kanishka sacrificing at altar left, rev. OAΔO, wind god running left (BMC 62); Indo-Parthians, Soter Megas (c.AD 100) AE obol (12mm, 1.97g) obv. radiate bust right, rev. king right on horseback etc.; mostly Fine to VF with some better examples

The upcoming coin and banknote sale will feature an interesting and diverse selection of coins. From Roman coins to modern proof sets the sale has coins to appeal to a wide range of collectors. Of particular note are two proof sets minted to celebrate the coronations of George V and George VI respectively, a nice selection of Roman Republic and Imperial coinage including a scarce Roman Republic denarius of M. Cato, and four examples of the ‘Kew Gardens’ 50p designed by Christopher Le Brun.
