A Scarce Punched Card Brisé Fan (Bristol Board) later 19th century, consisting of nine inner wedge-shaped sticks and two guards. Geometric in design, shaped sticks, and the letter "F" on the upper guard, and "P" on the lower guard, with a layer of cream fabric underneath to offset the initials. White metal shaped rigid loop fashioned as a chain. Guard length approx. 9 inches or 23cm.

The fan was purchased at Christie's SK, part lot 220, on September 15th 1998. Examples have been noted by FCI members in Museums in Barcelona and Madrid and an image is available of the one in Madrid should anyone wish to view. Bristol board was used for needle books and later sewing from 1820 to 1910.
