The British Bombing Survey Unit - Second World War:- A comprehensive collection of Top Secret letters, photographs, files and reports relating to George Whipp of the British Bombing Survey Unit attached to the RAF during the Second World War. George Whipp was initially an architect, who went on to photograph and report on damage caused by British bombs, He orchestrated the flight paths and size of bombs needed to destroy enemy targets including submarine pens. His work shows meticulous attention to detail. Most of the photographs are aerial, but some have obviously been taken in secret on the ground and show prisoners of war working on construction
