Fred and Booth were brothers who worked at a local woollen mill near Huddersfield before the War.
Booth, who was born in 1895, was a "twister-in". He died of wounds in Hocheim Prisoner of War camp on 27th October 1918.
Fred, who was born in 1893, was a "cloth finisher". As a result of his traumatic experiences of the Great War, he subsequently dedicated himself to gardening, and in particular to the cultivation of gladiolii and chrysanthemums. The above medals represent only a small part of his success
