Great Britain

A wild little stockbook that emerged from the balance accumulation of an original estate, packed with an exciting range of good 19th century and KEVII mint/unused and used, seemingly a mix of high-cat items with relatively small faults, ie. 'seconds' of the main collection along with select cds examples, much here that is difficult or impossible to fault, as well as anything the collector put aside for further study, with postmarks a particular feature. Includes three decent-looking penny blacks (two with faults) and lots of other line-engraved incl. several 1d red numbers in cross MXs, 2d blue lines imperf with late 1875 cds mostly very large margins, etc, then 1855-57 4d rose-carmine sound unused, 1867 9d straw with unusual pmk, unused 8d orange creased, a few attractive mint 2½d blue plates with thins/creases, 6d chestnut plate 11 superb with Limerick cds, 3d and 6d surcharges cds and unused sets, perfin 10/- ultramarine and another sound used, lots of mint jubilees to 1/- greens, two 1891 £1 greens torn, as well as mint Edwardian and KGV shades, telegraphs incl. used 1/- green margin pair and 5/- rose, etc, etc. A somewhat chaotic book where further examination is sure to yield interesting discoveries, please inspect carefully.
