Antlers/Horns: Axis Deer or Chital (Axis axis), circa 1855, India, adult buck antlers on cut upper skull, six points (3+3), right antler 74cm (29"), left antler 72cm (28"), tip to tip 47.5cm (tips broken) (18¾"), widest span 56cm (22"), height 69cm, mounted upon a shaped shield, another set on cut upper skull cap, six points (3+3), right antler 75.5cm (29½"), left antler 78.5cm (30¾"), tip to tip 40.5cm, widest span 53cm, height 60cm, each with painted number No 7 to shield, applied number refers to a Nilgai, reference within game book entry - "a great many of these were shot by George Grieg", (2)

To include a collection of Indian and European Game Trophies from Kilberry Castle, Argyll. Many of the trophies date from the second half of the 19th century, with rare and historical specimens including Asian Water Buffalos, Astor Markhors, Bengal Tigers, Indian Leopards and Himalayan Tahr.
