♦Edward IV, First Reign (1461-70), Silver Groat, London Mint, heavy coinage (1461-64), mm rose; obv. ‘EDWARD DI GRA REX ANGL Z FRANC’ around crowned facing bust, quatrefoils by neck, double saltire stops, rev. long cross, ‘POSVI DEVM ADIVTOREM MEVM,’ Lombardic ‘m’ & ‘n’ & eye after ‘TAS’ in CIVITAS, S.1974, full, well struck flan with good portrait detail & mostly full clear legends, peripheral light golden toning, wt. 4g, AVF to VF.
