A French Painted and Gilt Metal Mounted Striking Mantel Clock, circa 1900, gilt metal scroll mounts, front painted with a lady and gentleman seated in a landscape scene and the sides are decorated with flowers, enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, twin barrel movement striking on a gong, movement backplate with maker's mark A&N and numbered 47226 Paris, 36.5cm high

11.08.21 Case painted surfaces are slightly rubbed in parts and with minor scratches, gilt mounts are discoloured, dial with small chips around the winding holes and a minor hairline crack above 12, movement is complete with pendulum.

Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
