A Mahogany Striking Table Clock with a Deadbeat Escapement, signed John Lacey, London, 1817, lancet shaped case, ring side carrying handles, pierced sound frets, pull repeat cord, brass ball feet, 8-inch convex painted dial with Roman numerals and signed John Lacey, London, strike/silent selection lever at 9, twin fusee movement with the visible deadbeat escapement on the movement backplate, movement backplate signed John Lacey and dated 1817, rack striking on a bell, 45cm high see illustrations

14.10.19 Case is faded, case with signs of woodworm holes, case with some small cracks, scratches and chips in parts, brass surfaces are discoloured, dial is chipped in parts and the signature and markers are faded and rubbed in parts, movement needs cleaning, with pendulum.
