An Interesting Victorian/First World War Group of Five Medals, awarded to REV.G.(George) H.(Henry) COLBECK, ARMY CHAP.(Chaplain), comprising India General Service Medal with two clasps BURMA 1885-7 and BURMA 1887-89, Queen's South Africa Medal with four clasps NATAL, ORANGE FREE STATE, BELFAST and SOUTH AFRICA 1901, 1914 Star with Mons clasp 5TH AUG.-22NS NOV.1914, British War Medal and Victory Medal with MID oak leaf, together with supporting documentation including notes on his career, photocopies of his Medal Index cards and London Gazette Supplements and a book "Letters from Mandalay: A Series of Letters from the Most Part Written from the Royal City of Mandalay During the Troublous Years of 1878-1879 (1892)" by the late James Alfred Colbeck and edited by George H Colbeck (formerly Mission Priest of Mandalay) (3)
