John Beswick (1868-1934): A Rare Notebook, dated April1893, containing hand written recipes for colours, bodies and glazes, including Jet glaze, Common Rockingham glaze, Jasper body, Bamboo brown glaze, signed John Beswick, labelled W.H.WRIGHT PRINTER STATIONER and Account Book Manufacturer, High Street, Longton, with two burnt holes
The glazes are mentioned in an advertisement in the Pottery Gazette Diary of 1899.
Given by his granddaughter Judith Mary Stonestreet (neé Beswick) 2nd wife of Malcolm Stonestreet, vicar of Askrigg to the current owner.
