♦Richard III (1483-85), Silver Groat, London Mint, obv. & rev. mm halved sun & rose (type 2); obv. ‘RICARD DI GRA REX ANGL Z FRANC’ around crowned facing bust, quatrefoil on breast & pellet below bust; rev. long cross over ‘POSVI DEVM ADIVTOREM MEVM’ & ‘CIVITAS LONDON;’ S.2158, good portrait & mostly full clear legends (possibly lightly clipped between 2 & 4 o’clock), good surfaces, wt. 3.12g, VERY RARE, AVF to VF.
