An English Cut and Engraved Glass Large Presentation Goblet of Sporting Interest, circa 1825, the bucket bowl engraved with an upper band of undulating thistles and roses, and a scene depicting a gentleman shooting pheasants with dogs in grassland, over a broad diamond cut girdle band, a shield enclosing initials CR beneath A Token of Respect from J Howard to ..., panelled lower bowl, on a short stem and stepped circular foot, 22.2cm high

Some quite heavy rubbing on the underside of the foot towards the rim, and also very slightly on the drinking rim. The interior, and to some degree the exterior, has been subject to surface scratching and this has affected the 'sharpness' of the look of the glass, the engraving detail etc. Sold a/f. 041011
