Simon Chalmers is a British artist and designer who lives and works in London. Following a degree and MA in fine art at Chelsea School of Art he went on to study fresco painting at il laboratorio per alfresco di vainella in Italy.He later became involved in creating exhibition spaces in Genoa and Rimini and worked in London as a set designer for Paul Smith, the BBC, Channel 4 and MTV networks.His original studies in spatial design have had a lasting impact on his work. Through a photography-based practice his work investigates the relationship between reproduction, time and geographical location.
