A Late 18th Century Silk Patchwork Bed Cover, with a central roundel enclosing a stylised sunburst symbolising the dawn of a new day, with a border of silk brocade flower heads, patchwork comprising small hexagonal flower heads overall, some with striped, red, yellow, peach, blue silk petals and small brocade stem to the centre, covered with a layer of protective net to the top, pink and cream striped silk reverse with small woven floral sprigs, 198cm by 232cm

It is netted due to damage to the silk. Several silk flower heads are split overall. Blue silk surrounding central sun has shredded in numerous areas. Pink striped silk reverse has fading towards the edges.
