An Alphabet Sampler Worked by Mary Smyth, June 8th 1826, worked in coloured threads with alphabet and verse below, within a framed border of zig zags, in a gilt frame, 35cm by 35cm; A 'Hymn' Worked by Phoebe Silcock Sheffield, April 14th 1809, with three verses worked within an oval cartouche of flowers and leaves worked in silk threads, in an oak frame, 35cm by 29cm (2)

. Mary Smyth sampler - holes to the bottom and right left hand sides, couple of small holes in the border overall and to the letters, discolouration to three of the corners. Phoebe Silcock sampler - backing cloth very discoloured and appears very grey, a couple of large holes to the left of the words 'A Hymn', some very small brown spotting.
