The deep indigo field of vines around a flowerhead medallion framed by crimson floral spandrels and borders of palmettes and meandering floral vines flanked by wheat guard stripes, 195cm by 118cm
. Both ends complete. Selvedges original. Pile close-clipped, generally good/fair. Some corrosion of brown areas. Light wear to outer plain guard stripe. the rug is confirmed as handmade, the size stated is correct, ends and selvedge complete, one or two tiny spots of light wear in medallion approximately 0.5cm by 0.5cm

Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
