A range of material sifted from a Ceylon collector's chaotic working holding, his purchases over the years, highlights including early large tigers used, 1873 1sh tiger unused block of six, positions 10/12 and 13/15, signed Dietrich BPP, 1878 small tiger SG.88 unused strip of four positions 25, 30, 35, 40, signed Dietrich, 1881-90 1r violet unused strip of three with one on paper maker's seal, 1884 1r red on yellow unused, lots of 1890s mosque gate issues, etc. Please inspect.

Highlights of the October 30th Stamp Sale include a very extensive collection of Switzerland assembled over a lifetime by a former President of the Helvetia Society of Great Britain with focus on postal history beautifully written-up on album pages; a specialised collection of Ceylon with many of the key stamps including an excellent range of classics plus King George V key-plate high values, plus from the same estate a group of the Indian State of Jammu & Kashmir including a complete presentation album sent out in 1899 on behalf of the Maharajah. Also an extremely interesting large folio presentation volume of 19th Turkish revenue proof sets with ornate binding suggesting a possibly unique production for the Ottoman royal family.
