Auction: Antiques & Interiors, to include a section of Silver, 9th Sep, 2022

Highlights of the Silver section include mementos given by two stars of the stage to Cecil King, stage manager at His Majesty’s Theatre, London. Also included is a good selection of useful 19th and 20th century silver, an assortment of earlier silver including a wine-funnel by Peter and Ann Bateman, and a pair of George III silver candlesticks. Among the offering of flatware are a number of basting spoons from the late 18th century as well as a set of twelve table-spoons by Hester Bateman, 1789, being sold with a number of matching pieces. Included with the Objects of Vertu is a 10ct gold compass.

The sale includes a mix of affordable traditional art and antiques, jewellery, watches. Also included are Opera Books from the Library of the late Earl of Harewood.
