A Victorian Silver Goblet, by William Smily, London, 1860, the bowl tapering and on spreading foot, the stem with solder repair, 17cm high, gross weight 9oz 17dwt, 306gr
The inscription reads 'The Princess Alexandra Prize Nun-Eaton Rifle Volunteers 10th March 1863 Presented by James Darlington Esq'.

This sale will include a specialist section of Silver, and will also include the The Clock and Watch Workshop of Robert Loomes. Due to early retirement, an array of clock and watchmaking tools, parts, machines, books and more. Robert Loomes, son of Brian Loomes, ran a Stamford-based clock and watch repair and restoration business, and within their workshop they also manufactured entirely British made watches. Robert has held directorships of the British Horological Institute (BHI) and the British Watch and Clockmakers’ Guild, and is a Fellow of the BHI.
