A collection of works on caves and caving, to include:
Some Account of Cheddar, its Cliffs and its Caves, Chiefly Compiled from Printed and Other Documents. Bristol: Light and Ridler, 1842, ocatvo, (possibly lacking half-title), bookplate of John Tricks Spalding, marbled endpapers, half calf gilt with John Tricks Spalding monogram to upper cover, lightly rubbed, small scuff to upper board;
Hovey (Horace C.). Celebrated American Caverns, especially Mammoth, Wyandot, and Luray. Together with Historical, Scientific, and Descriptive Notices of Caves and Grottoes in Other Lands. Cincinnati: Robert Clarke & Co., 1882, xii, 228pp. plus 8 pp. publisher's catalogue, frontispiece and twenty-nine plates/maps (three folding), in-text illustrations, extra-illustrated with several clippings tipped-in or mounted to verso of plates, title-page torn at gutter, ink marginal annotation on p. 163, ink note on front free endpaper, publisher's brown cloth gilt, marked, corners slightly bumped;
Römer (Professor Dr Ferd) and Lee (John Edward, translator). The Bone Caves of Ojcow in Poland. London: Longmans, Green, and Co., 1884, frontispiece and twelve plates, faint spotting to title, some marginal dust-staining, maroon cloth gilt, extremities very lightly rubbed;

Highlights include a first edition of an important work on the English colonies in America and the West Indies published in 1687, a collection of watercolours depicting landscapes and ancient sites of Egypt and the Middle East, and a selection of mid-19th century albumen print photographs of Rome. Further notable lots include plates from a mid-18th century plan of Paris by Michael Etienne Turgot, a Victorian autograph album and a copy of Eugene Grasset's 'Plants and the Application to Ornament'.
