A Mahogany Quarter Chiming Longcase Clock, swan neck pediment, trunk with blind fretwork canted corners, inside trunk door with an applied plaque inscribed "Percy Webster clockmaker 45 Londoun Road St John's Wood and at 37 GT Portland St", base with applied presentation plaque, brass dial with silvered chapter ring, dial centre with an arched silvered plaque inscribed Thomas Humber, London, seconds dial, arched with moonphase aperture, triple weight driven movement with an anchor escapement and chiming on a nest of eight bells and striking the hours on a gong, case and dial are late 18th century and the movement is late 19th century, 234cm high

Case is faded in parts, hood with fretwork missing in parts, case with small scratches, dents and small cracks in parts, trunk door with a later escutchon and a small piece of later veneer added, inside trunk door with plaque inscribed "Percy Webster clockmaker 45 Londoun Road St John's Wood and at 37 GT Portland St", applied presentation plaque to the base "PRESENTED BY THE MEMBERS OF THE STAFF OF/ MESSRS. SAMUEL MONTAGU & CO./ TO/ LOUIS SAMUEL MONTAGU ESQ./ ON THE OCCASION OF HIS MARRIAGE TO MISS GLADYS GOLDSMID, 9TH FEB 1898", dial with scratches and staining marks, later hands, case and dial are late 18th century and the movement is late 19th century.
