Three of the volumes have the used with earlier incl. plated 1d reds and 2d blues, QV and KEVII both to 5/-, etc. The mint with some KGVI commems etc, then the vast majority in MNH sets from Wildings and castles onwards, some specialisation on the Machins from pre-decimal, the 1970s commem sets collected in gutter pairs, approx fifty different prestige booklets, etc. Face value alone min. £4,000.

261 lots including several exciting original collections fresh to the market. Highlights include a specialised collection of St. Helena stamps and postal history, and a very extensive and impressive holding of Russian postal history with a particular focus on the Post Offices Abroad. The latter collector’s interests also extended through the Baltics to excellent Scandinavian Locals, as well as around the Eastern Mediterranean from the Balkans to Palestine and Egypt.
Amongst the postcards offered in the sale are fantastic albums from a dedicated collector, of high-quality and comprehensively assembled, which include transport related cards of Leeds, Skipton, Lancaster, Teesside and Middlesbrough as well as excellent general Yorkshire cards.
