The necklace is in good condition. It fastens with a diamond set slide catch, with a figure-of-eight catch at each end. It bears no hallmark, but in our opinion it would test as gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour H/I/J, clarity SI1/SI2/I1. The pearls measure approximately 3mm, and are lsightly barrel shaped. Gross weight 73.8 grams. Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
