A Second World War Royal Navy Officer's Wolseley Style Pith Helmet, in white with six panels to the skull, the top of the seven fold puggaree with a narrow navy-blue edging, leather chin strap, green twill lining and maker's label for Gieves Ltd.; a Second World War Royal Navy Officer's Peaked Cap, in blue wool, with mohair cap band and gilt bullion raised embroidered cap badge, by Gieves, with a single shoulder board, all in the original black japanned tin named E.H. Chance R.N. (4)

. Wolseley helmet in good structural condition, with slight staining around the top of the pugarree and spots of soiling to the exterior. Peaked cap with some bending to the internal wire frame, no visible moth damage, the patent leather peak has blooming to the surface. The shoulder board has moth damage. The tin has a dent to the cover which lacks the clasp and has areas of rust
