Collection of Kings issues in two Oriel albums incl. 1903-05 and 1904-05 sets mint, 1910-11 10cts to 10r complete mint and extra 5r used, 1912-25 with cds used values to 100r (three interesting examples), mint to 20r with four varieties of 5r, mint watermark varieties incl. 6cts sideways and inverted (SG.306a, 306w) and 2r wmk inverted, plus Specimen overprints incl. 10r with extra diagonal 'COLONIAS' ovpt (crease), 100r grey-black (SG.321s) with crease, and 1000r purple on red (SG.323s) fresh with barely perceptible trace of hinge. Then the wmk multiple script CA high values with 100r dull purple and blue mint with non-constant flaws showing damage to leaves at bottom right, 'specimen' overprints: 50r, 100r grey-black and 100r dull purple and blue, the latter with unusual large printing flaw above crown causing heavily broken frame below 'Ceylon'. Then 1927-29 rupee values mint set, through to some useful mint and used KGVI to 5r mint shades plus the 1952 10r green and orange postal fiscal mint and used (SG.F1). Please inspect.

Highlights of the October 30th Stamp Sale include a very extensive collection of Switzerland assembled over a lifetime by a former President of the Helvetia Society of Great Britain with focus on postal history beautifully written-up on album pages; a specialised collection of Ceylon with many of the key stamps including an excellent range of classics plus King George V key-plate high values, plus from the same estate a group of the Indian State of Jammu & Kashmir including a complete presentation album sent out in 1899 on behalf of the Maharajah. Also an extremely interesting large folio presentation volume of 19th Turkish revenue proof sets with ornate binding suggesting a possibly unique production for the Ottoman royal family.
