CIVITAS EBORACI around long cross fourchée over quartered royal shield dividing ‘T’ ‘W’ (Archbishop Thomas Wolsey), cardinal’s hat below shield, saltire stops; wt. 2.71g, minor v-shaped edge nick at 12 o’clock, & a couple of letters in legends not struck up o/wise full, round, well struck flan with clear legends & good bust detail, an attractive AVF to VF.
