An impressive collection of thousands of stamps along with covers in nineteen Senator albums, the issues from 1952 to 2010 represented in virtually every possible format including prestige booklet panes and FDCs. The pre-decimal volumes with many varieties listed and unlisted, incl. missing phosphors, commem inverted watermarks, extensive listed Wilding constant flaws, etc. We note 1959 2d phosphor-graphite St. Edward's Crown error, 1959 4½d FDC (SG.577, cat. £250), castles printings complete, 1966 landscapes 6d inverted wmk non-phosphor and 'AN' for 'AND' in phosphor pair, intriguing blank profile overlapping gold on 1966 3d Christmas issue, etc, etc. Assembled with great dedication and written-up in detail.

261 lots including several exciting original collections fresh to the market. Highlights include a specialised collection of St. Helena stamps and postal history, and a very extensive and impressive holding of Russian postal history with a particular focus on the Post Offices Abroad. The latter collector’s interests also extended through the Baltics to excellent Scandinavian Locals, as well as around the Eastern Mediterranean from the Balkans to Palestine and Egypt.
Amongst the postcards offered in the sale are fantastic albums from a dedicated collector, of high-quality and comprehensively assembled, which include transport related cards of Leeds, Skipton, Lancaster, Teesside and Middlesbrough as well as excellent general Yorkshire cards.
