A 19th Century Six Piece Suite of George III Style Mahogany Seat Furniture, recovered in brown close-nailed velvet, comprising a set of five library armchairs with arched and padded back supports, padded arms and overstuffed seats with moulded and scrolled arm supports, on moulded square forelegs with egg and dart borders and carved brackets on castors, 73cm by 61cm by 102cm, and a three-seater settee, upholstered to match, with padded back support and scrolled arm supports, on square moulded forelegs joined by an H stretcher, 200cm by 74cm by 103cm See illustration

. Sofa - upholstery good. Framework reasonable, underside of sofa with old wormholes, Front left leg with small section of carving missing, Rear right leg with minor repair. minor repair on rear left leg around stretcher joint, Framework has also been darkened/polished at some stage. Armchair 1 - structurally sound and fabric good. Some variations in colour to framework, mainly around left hand arm support. Rear leg with splice repair to a good standard. Armchair 2 - structurally sound. Minor scuffs and faults to framework consistent with age, mainly around arm supports. Armchair 3 - Upholstery good, minor bruising to legs and carved decoration, small repair/split to one carved hand grip,, no repairs to legs Armchair 4 - Upholstery good, minor bruising to legs and carved decoration, small losses of timber to rear legs Armchair 5 - Upholstery good, small faults to framework /decoration, rear legs small loss of timber Stretchers - later Brass castors on sofa, which differ from chairs, four have brown ceramic and one white
