A Pair of Victorian Silver Coffee-Pots, by John Bodman Carrington, London, One 1895 and One 1896, each baluster and on spreading foot, the hinged cover with cast acorn finial, with ivory insulated scroll handle, one side engraved with the badge of the Lancashire Fusiliers, the other side engraved on each with a differing presentation inscription, each 19cm high, total gross weight 35oz 18dwt, 1,162gr (2)

The inscription on the 1896 coffee-pot reads 'Presented to the Officers 1st Lancashire Fusiliers by Major S. F. Charles on Promotion 1897'.

With non-transferable standard ivory exemption declaration number H8QUD296.

Sold by Order of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers to Benefit the Fusiliers Aid Society (13 January Jewellery, Watches and Silver sale, lots 2273-2307 and Antiques and Interiors sale, 5 January 2024 lots 1-16).
