A Royal Worcester Porcelain Vase, probably by George Owen and Harry Chair, 1900, of baluster form with angular handles, the shoulders with beaded band over a pierced formal border picked out in puce over gilt scrolls hung with foliage swags, on a circular socle and shaped square base, apparently unsigned, printed mark in green

For a similar ewer see Bonhams, New Bond Street, 1 December 2010, lot 256 where it is discussed that Owen and Chair worked together on many ornamental pieces and that prior to 1900 the Worcester factory did not encourage their craftsmen to sign their work

Section of the rim missing with two adjacent pieces re glued. No further damage. Gilding and enamels in good order.

The Summer Fine Sale offers nearly 450 lots of ceramics, Asian art, clocks, rugs, works of art and furniture, including a collection of 19th century Terracotta Campagna Urns from Raby Castle, County Durham, a Lock of Florence Nightingale's Hair, and a French Alabaster Figure Group of the Holy Family, probably made in South West France in the late 14th century. A Private Collection of English Pottery will be offered in twenty-three lots, including numerous Prattware and Creamware figures, and the sale will also include pieces of fine 19th century furniture and good early oak and walnut furniture.
